Classes

Interested in trying Scottish Country Dancing? Beginners, please join our weekly adult dance classes throughout our dance season, September – May.  All classes are held at the Fairhaven Library, unless otherwise noted on the Calendar.

Fees:   Membership for a class year (September through May) is $140; half of the dance year is $70 and the drop-in fee $5.  There is no charge for the first class for all newcomers.  There is no registration required for classes. Just drop in and join the fun! 

What to Wear: Please come to class wearing soft soled shoes without heels, and clothing that is easy to move around in and that you are comfortable in.

Class Descriptions, Dates & Times:

Combined Class – Basic and Intermediates are combined into one class giving the Basic dancers the chance to dance with more experienced dancers and Intermediates the chance to sharpen up on the basics. Basic steps and formations are covered in the first half hour of class, followed by dancing for the remainder of the class. This is a great opportunity for everyone!

Dates & Times: Wednesdays, from 7:00pm – 9:00pm. Beginner Classes and Intermediates start at 7:00pm.  After 8:15 pm, only Intermediate dances are taught.
